Obituary

Dennis L. B. Duffy peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at home with his family. Dennis was born in Sacramento, CA on August 28, 1942 and grew up in Carmichael, CA.  He attended La Sierra High School and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation serving from 1960-1966 (3 years active and 3 years in the reserves.) Although being with his family was his first love, he also enjoyed playing golf, his love of books, riding his dirt bike and fishing and hiking throughout the Sierras with lifelong friends. In his younger days he also enjoyed racing his 1963 Corvette that he built.  He was very generous with his time as a mentor and teacher to anyone who wanted to learn, whether it be technical or mechanical. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Sims) Duffy, his daughter Denise (Duffy) Montgomery, son-in-law Don Montgomery, sister Connie (Barker) Blanchard and her husband John, brother Gary Barker and his wife Judy and many special family members. His extended family, close friends and neighbors knew him for his sense of humor and big heart. He will be missed by many.
