Teresa Cantara Canela Harens

1951 — 2025

Roseville

Teresa Cantara Canela born October 15,1951 was my mother-in-law and for you she was

your mom, Lola, your aunt, sister, in law (for both Lisettes mom and my mom they had a special bond and super

lucky to have in-laws they could party with) a cousin, a friend, a coworker, and so on. I know we all have our

stories our memories that we share with her, but for me, I remember meeting her about 30 years ago when she

lived in Dixon there I met her Work family at Black Oak that would always take care of us (allen lisette, ivan and I)

and later the kids, I remember visiting her almost every Thursday night before we were married and we will go out

to dinner or to the casino or even to a local bar. That’s a whole Nother story. And we can share those later. After a

late night we would go back home to antelope. And we did that drive probably every Thursday until we got

married. Getting married was when I really started to get to know her and that’s when she also became Lola to

Cody. Cody was the first one out of the bunch where her name had started to be Lola then came the boys Roy,

Collin, Jd, Dylan then finally kaleyah got to call her Lola. After five years, her boy Aidan was finally born. A little

later Kylie was born and from then on she became Lola. I remember taking her on trips with the boys to Tahoe. We

got to go to Disney World with her sister auntie Linda and I think that was the best trip she’s ever taken, but it was

also the most tiring trip she’s ever taken. We got to visit Chris and Michelle the family in Las Vegas. She was

super simple. She didn’t need much but let me tell you she needed those Tupperware’s. We’ll share later. We were

so lucky to have great memories of our trips, celebrations, birthdays, holidays, which I do have to say the best

thing that happened to my kids was that they could celebrate the holidays with all of their grandparents in the

same room. After these couple of years, there’s been people missing from our family photos, but we have those

photos to look back on and remember those holidays. I remember on the earlier years. We didn’t see much of her

while she was working and we were just raising kids. We would see her here and there she would come over and

she would always be the one to watch movies with my kids because I could never sit still long enough And she

would always make food, but I would attempt to make the same thing but it wasn’t Lola“s . I could remember her

leaving to go back to work and not knowing when we would see her and I would tell her don’t tell the kids when

you were coming back just show up. After a few years of teasing her that kaleyah was already graduated college

yet she was only in the fourth grade. Only Because sometimes we would go a while before even seeing her, but

she made it to Aidan and Kaleyah’s promotions graduations college graduations up until now she never miss

those. We know that she will be there when Aidan’s day comes. We were super fortunate to have her come to a

couple swim meets and baseball games when she could. She enjoyed any sport the kids were into. Come 2020

she unfortunately had some changes happen I her work life but for us it was the silver lining having her move up

here to Rocklin with my parents (and in what planet does that happen, this one). My mom and her would always

say they were sister even before she moved to Rocklin I would say “No you can’t say that) At this point She was

so excited to watch every home game whether it was baseball, football , basketball that she didn’t even

understand but knew every time Aidan did something great on the field or court. while living here we were able to

spend a lot of time with her and all the kids got to know her as young adults and before she even knew it her the

family was growing and then she became Lola to Hannah, Mariah, Savannah then in 2022 she came Yaya to

Jadalyn they shared secret bonds, secret talks and snacks. Then 2 months later heres Remi Lola has a video on

her phone singing to Remi and a ton of photos of the girls including the twins the last photo she took was of

Ciella. We always know your around when we are thinking of something you might say, one of your sayings , your

smell, when Fox News is on, especially Jesse, and when we look at your pots a newly found love of gardening, and

oh when I see a Tupperware . We love and miss you!
