Shaundra Lee Cashdollar

July 27, 1952 — November 12, 2025

Shaundra passed away unexpectedly on November 12th at the age of 73. Born on July 27, 1952, she was named Doreen Dorothy Briltz by her parents Francis (Frank) and Dorothy Briltz. She grew up in Fairfield, CA and graduated from Armijo High School in 1970. After high school and through her 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, her adventurous spirit led her through many locations throughout California and held a variety of jobs that allowed her to truly spread her wings. The one thing that was constant in her life was her love and devotion to her cats (especially Tiffany and Lily) and Dobermans (including Cagney, Lacey and Harley). She was a gifted dog (and cat) trainer and generously shared her talent, often offering guidance and support to others. Her cats were expected to behave like well-trained dogs, and dogs like marines in boot camp. And she was the drill instructor!

In 2001, she changed her name to Shaundra Lee, a name she felt better reflected who she was. Around the same time, she settled in and embraced a quaint neighborhood in Fair Oaks as home

.In 2005, Shaundra took a position with the State. She retired in May 2022 as a Staff Services Analyst for the Department of Fish and Wildlife, but only after her coworkers got to know her as a feisty but supportive mother-like figure. Shaundra enjoyed the connections made at work, and remained close to many former colleagues.

Shaunda was a fixture in the neighborhood. She organized a daily walking club, enjoyed garage sales and bargain shopping, and aiding others in their time of need. Shaundra also took pride in her home, and inspired by HGTV made improvements and upgrades constantly. In her retirement, Shaundra enjoyed playing games, connecting with extended family, but most of all, bonding with her close friends nearby.

Shaundra was a caring, kind, and truly unique person. It is doubtful that anyone that ever met would forget her – only Helen Keller could refer to her as meek! Her strong sense of spirit was ever present. Shaundra is lovingly remembered by many, including her biological daughter, Amber. Reconnecting with her just these past couple of years brought Shaundra immense joy and pride. She is survived by her brother, Allen, sister-in-law, Diane Briltz, nephew, Jeffrey Briltz and his family, niece, Angela (Briltz) Baker and her family, plus extended family - Diane’s sisters and brother; Maureen, Nancy, Dan, and of course her closest friend she spent time with nearly every day for the past 25-plus years, Sherry Ramos. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Briltz, mother, Dorothy Miles, brother Kenneth Briltz.

If you would like to pay respects to Shaundra, in lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to Doberman Rescue Unlimited, Inc. 52 Tenney Rd. Sandown, NH 03873. A memorial luncheon is planned for 11:30 am on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Brissa and Co. 409 Natoma St. Folsom, CA. To help with planning the arrangements, please RSVP to Diane Briltz by December 22nd by email to dbriltz@gmail.com or 707-372-1295.
