Ronald Duane Peek

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ronald Duane Peek age 74, of Wilton, CA on August 20,2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ron had a zest for life's adventures. He loved, hiking, fishing, scuba diving and hunting. He was an avid reader with a phenomenal memory, a self taught artist, sudoku puzzle grandmaster and amateur historian. He had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs and horses.
His work life included years as a pipefitter welder and principal engineering technician with the County of Sacramento Water Resources.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 44 years; son Ryan(Heather); daughter Christine (Eli); daughter Laura; two grandchildren Richard and Megan; brother Michael; nieces Erin and Michelle; nephews Robert and William; cousin Richard; and sisters-in-law Katie and Nancy. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Joyce Peek and his brother Daryl.
His greatest joy in life was family. He gave his children a fun childhood with fond memories teaching them to carry themselves with humility, kindness and integrity. Through his journey of 74 years, he touched the many lives with his wisdom and humor. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
