It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Louis Massoni (aka Bob) on his 90th birthday April 20, 2025, at Sutter Roseville hospital. He was born on April 20, 1935, in San Francisco, CA to Aurelio and Rita Massoni.
He lived in San Francisco most of his life. He worked at Wells Fargo bank in the financial district for over 40+ years. He enjoyed traveling, art and archaeology was his passion. On one of his many trips to Italy he met the love of his life and beloved wife, Grazia Massoni. They were married for over 50 years, living their final days in Roseville, CA. Bob lived his life the best he knew and left this earth wishing to be with his wife again. He was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined him. They were part of who he was, and his strength undoubtedly helped him deal with life’s challenges. He suffered from many medical issues and denied the odds of survival with each new diagnosis. He was known for being head strong, had unwavering determination, and love and support for his family. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
Robert is survived by his children Diane Massoni and Lisa Hildebrand, son in law Eric Hildebrand and grandchildren Veronica, Serena, Luca, Gabriella and Nicholas. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He touched the lives of so many people. He will truly be missed and will not be forgotten. A memorial mass service will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 10:30am located at Saint Joseph Marello Catholic Church, 7200 Auburn Folsom Road, Granite Bay. Reception following the mass at the Massoni residence.
