Patricia Brixie

Patricia Brixie (nee Berry), beloved wife to George, married for almost 69

years before his death, died August 23, 2026 at home in Sacramento, CA.

Born in 1933 to Eileen (nee Broderick) and Daniel Berry, eldest of three,

preceded in death by sister Dorothy Seilheimer, brother William Berry, son

Joseph, and daughter-in-law Ruth Ellison. With George, raised six children,

Mare (Wayne Chubin), Joseph (Silvia Brixie Schram), Peter (Yasmin

Gonzalez Sanchez), Anne (Jim Kokoris), John (Rosemary) and Julie

(Randy Schaetzl). Longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Alexandria,

dedicated teacher and librarian at Brother Rice H.S. The joy of her life

(besides dessert ) was her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren,

nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers

donations can be made to Misericordia Home, Chicago, IL 60660.

Memorial tentatively planned for March 17, 2027 in Oak Lawn, Il.
