Norma Mae Kastl
Our Family Matriarch, Norma Kastl. entered the arms of her Savior Oct 30, 2022 at the age of 102. She was born in Smith Center Kansas on July 22, 1920. Norma was one of 10 children born to Clifford Jason Joy and Mary Jane (Nussbaum) Joy.
Norma married Thurman Fuller and together they had 3 daughters , Patricia, Bonnie and Mary Ellen. Following Thurman’s passing in 1965, Norma remarried. She married Melvin Kastl. Soon after they moved to Standish, CA building a home and ranching there for 50 plus years. Mel passed in 2010. Norma and Mel had a blended family of six children. Patricia, Bonnie , Mary Ellen, and Mel’s Marc, Doug and Cheryl. Norma was preceded in death by her first husband Thurman Fuller, Second Husband, Mel Kastl, Daughter Patricia Taylor, Step-son, Marc Kastl, granddaughter, Lynn Goudberg, and a few great-great grandchildren as well.
Norma was the last living of her siblings. Norma is survived by Bonnie Paxton, Mary Ellen Stoker, Doug Kastl and Cheryl Welzenbach, and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Norma was a God fearing woman raised to believe in the power of faith, and prayer in her daily life. She was devoted to honesty integrity and was a true example of a life well lived.
We love her, and while we know she is surrounded by loved ones on the other side, she will be missed until we meet again.
A celebration of life service for Norma will be scheduled and announced in the Spring of 2023
