Michael Anthonie Silverio, 61, died on August 17, 2026, in Sacramento, California.

Born on February 21, 1965, in Madrid, Spain, on Torrejon Air Force Base, Michael Anthonie Silverio built a life defined by devotion to his family, deep commitment to his work, and a presence that left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He was described as brilliant, dynamic, funny, talented, and passionate—someone who could talk to anyone and who made friends with people from every facet of society. To many, he was not only a good friend, but also a source of strength and wisdom.

Michael was a family man in every sense. He is survived by Jeanine, his wife and soul mate of 43 years. He is also survived by his sons and their families: Gilbert Estimada, Erica Estimada, and their son, Jovani; Michael Silverio, Jr., Maria Jimenez Perez Silverio, and their sons, Pablo and Rafael; Matthew Silverio and his fiancée, Jordan Lammi; Bonifacio Silverio and his fiancee, Bianca Gutierrez; and Ceferino Silverio. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine, who died in May 2016.

Over the course of his working life, Michael held a number of jobs before finding what he considered his dream job as an audio engineer. That work became a defining part of his life. He worked primarily with Big City Revue and band leader Phil Nicholas, and he took particular pride in providing a crisp, clean monitor mix for stage performers. Known as a monitor engineer—and affectionately as the “Monitordude”—Michael spent more than two decades in the field. His retirement came only because of health concerns, making clear how deeply he valued the work and how fully he gave himself to it.

Audio engineering was more than employment to Michael; it was the place where his skill, focus, and passion met. His dedication to the craft and to the performers he supported was evident in the care he brought to every mix. For more than twenty years, he remained a steady and trusted presence in that world, remembered for both his technical ability and the unmistakable energy he brought with him.

Beyond his professional life, Michael will be remembered for the way he moved through the world. He was a loving husband, a nurturing father, and a man whose personality reached people easily. His humor, intelligence, and warmth helped him form connections across every walk of life. Whether among family, friends, or colleagues, he brought conversation, character, and heart.

Michael Anthonie Silverio leaves behind a legacy rooted in family, friendship, hard work, and the many lives touched by his generosity of spirit. His kind will not soon be seen again
