Marie Angela Carvidi, 78, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in Lincoln, California. Born on November 27, 1946, in New York, New York, Marie lived a life marked by deep faith, dedication to service, and a radiant spirit that touched all who knew her.
Marie graduated from Wheatland Union High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Chico. Her passion for education and helping others led her to a fulfilling career as a teacher in Catholic school in Grass Valley, California. She later served as an administrator for the Art Directors and Artists Club (ADAC) and continued her professional journey as a staff manager at UC Davis Medical Center. In all roles, Marie demonstrated compassion, diligence, a compassion for other people, and a commitment to excellence.
A devout Catholic throughout her life, Marie was deeply involved with Sacred Heart Parish. Her spirituality was not only evident in her words but also in her actions. She was an active supporter of church choir and participated wholeheartedly in various church-related activities. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life—guiding her decisions and nurturing her relationships.
Marie had a vibrant personality and a smile that could light up any room. She loved deeply and unconditionally—her heart remained open even when tested by disappointment. Her warmth extended beyond family and friends into every community she touched.
She found joy in simple pleasures: attending church services, singing, exploring thrift shops for hidden treasures, enjoying theatre performances and opera music. Her interests reflected her appreciation for beauty, culture, and community.
Marie is lovingly remembered by her son Steven Fahrney; brothers Tom and his wife Penni; her brother Michael and partner Nancy; stepdaughter Corinne; nieces Gabrielle and Francesca, Natasha, Kassandra, Rebecca, Katherine; and nephew Alex. She now joins her beloved parents, Angelo and Gertrude Carvidi, who preceded her in death.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parish in Sacramento, California on December 4, 2025.
