Obituary

Margene Marie Fettig was born and raised in Minneapolis Minnesota. She was the only daughter of Norman and Margaret Fettig.

Margene attended and gratuated from The Orme School in 1990. She attended college at Yavapai College in 2004. Margene’s career path included secretary, dispatcher, and insurance agent.

Margene grew up in a home that had two service dogs to assist her parents who were both blind. These dogs are what fostered a lifelong love of animals for Margene. She loved animals of all kind including dogs, horses, and cats; most notably her beloved fur baby Luna. Margene loved camping and was Bon Jovi’s biggest fan.

Margene is survived by her son Chad, daughter Katrina, granddaughter Belle, as well as many cousins and extended family members.

Margene had so many people in her life that she would say were her chosen family. She had “chosen” sisters, brothers, and god children.

Margene is preceded in death by her mother Margaret and father Norman.

Margene was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness and was baptized on November 22nd of 2008. She was comforted by the bible’s promise of resurrection. She knew she would be resurrected to a beautiful paradise earth where there would be no more pain, death, suffering or sickness. Margene passed away on February 16th 2026. She knew that she was loved and had 2 members of her congregation at her side who prayed with her and held her hand until the end.

Margene’s wish was to be cremated. While there will be no formal funeral service, those who knew her and would like to honor her memory are encouraged to do so through prayer and by sharing any photos or memories on her obituary page.
