Lindsay “Lindz” Ann Sundberg Haddad, 46, of Rancho Cordova, passed away early on June, 11th 2025 while surrounded by family. Lindsay was born on May 21, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the first child of Nancy Swart and Paul Sundberg.
Lindsay studied at Everest College in West Valley City, UT and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2006. While she did not pursue a career in the criminal justice field, she began to raise two wonderful children and start her journey to find a fulfilling job. While on that pursuit of happiness working one or two jobs, as a single mother, was her life for a long time. Regardless of a busy schedule she was always there to love, encourage and support her children - at every milestone, every graduation, every struggle and every major life event.
Eventually, Lindsay began to pour her heart into her work. Starting in 2013, Lindsay and her daughters, Kaylee and Acacia, moved to Sonora where she spread kindness and compassion through her work. She worked for many nonprofits around Tuolumne County and eventually settled into a behavioral technician position where she could assist those in group homes for the mentally and physically disabled. She absolutely loved her job and you could tell her clients were always fond of her wonderful energy. She also found a great community within the Seventh Day Adventist Church and stengthened her realtionship with God. She married Friah “Freddy” Haddad in the winter of 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. After knowing each other since high school, they finally tied the knot. Shortly after, Lindsay and Freddy ended up moving to Rancho Cordova to be closer to family.
Lindsays radiant smile and loud laughter will be surely missed. Anyone who’s spent a length of time with her will remember what her laugh sounds like. Her intuition was often unmatched in the face of reality – she was always right. Lindsay was always an active person throughout her life. Her hobbies often included swimming, taking walks with her dog Wicket, hanging out with her kids, reading her bible, and most of all: shopping at Ross.
Lindsay Sundberg is survived by her two daughters, Acacia Brocklehurst and Kaylee Kaufman, her husband Freddy Haddad, her step-son Jason Haddad, her parents Nancy Swart, and Paul and Mickie Sundberg, her sister Allison Sundberg, as well as her step-siblings Russel Swart and Katie Fisette, and her loving, gentleman of a dog, Wicket. She is predeceased by her step-dad Jeff Swart.
Lindsay’s memorial will be held at the Mobil Country Club, 2473 Sunrise Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. All friends and family are welcome to come celebrate a life lost too soon.
