Laurie Anne Watson passed away on June 12, 2026 in Carmichael, California at the age of 77.

Born on May 6, 1949, in San Francisco, California to Ellsworth and Grace Reynolds Bobbitt, Laurie grew up with the values of family, perseverance, and compassion that would guide her throughout her life.  She graduated from Terra Linda High School and went on to build a successful career in the insurance industry, earning the respect of colleagues through her intelligence, dedication, and strong work ethic.

On March 4, 1972, Laurie married the love of her life, Rob Watson in San Rafael, California.  Together they shared more than 54 years of marriage and created a lifetime of cherished memories.

Laurie was an avid reader who could often be found with a good book in hand. She loved musical theatre and delighted in the joy, music, and storytelling it brought to her life.  She was also a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause that reflected her caring and compassionate nature.

Above all else, Laurie cherished her family.  She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.  Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Laurie is survived by her devoted husband, Rob Watson; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Grady; her son, Matthew Watson; her beloved grandchildren, Ben Eklund, Emily Eklund, Jarrett Watson, and Madison Watson; her sister and brother-in-law Susan and Gary Stoh; her brother, Alan Bobbitt; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Evelyn and Steve Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ellsworth Bobbitt; her mother, Grace Reynolds Bobbitt; and her brother, Richard Bobbitt.

Laurie’s life was a testament to family, perseverance, and love.  She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved by her family and friends.

No funeral services will be held at this time; however a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Laurie’s memory.
