Jerome Michael Harris

  • Jerome (Jerry) M Harris, age 82 of Antelope, California, passed away peacefully on
  • September 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 12, 1943. Jerry
  • dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community.

  • Jerry proudly served in the United States Air force from May 1961 to September 1986,
  • achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. His military career took him to various parts of
  • the world, including tours in Vietnam, Korea, Japan, where he earned numerous
  • commendations for his bravery and leadership. His commitment to his country was
  • unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

  • Following his distinguished military service, Jerry continued to serve his community as a
  • Dock Master / Security Guard with Thomas Property for the State of California
  • Environmental Protection Agency /Water Resources Board, where he worked for 20
  • years. Known for his positive attitude, his dedication and fairness to all, he left a lasting
  • impact on those he served and worked alongside.

  • In his retirement, Jerry enjoyed golfing and watching football with his sons.
  • Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Bobbie J Harrs; his children, Marvin
  • Lee Harris – Heather, Eric Lee Harris-Lisa, James Michael Harris-Rachael, Step son
  • Michael Robert Bruhn, his grandchildren, Michael Lee Harris-Elizabeth, Meghan Nicole
  • Harris-Paul, Kobe Harris-Sarah - Lucas, Josh Harris, Kailey Harris, Kyasia Kairo &
  • Angel Lyon, Khalia Lyon-Jaime Tejeda; and his brothers and sisters, Tom Harris,
  • brother-in-law George Ritchson, and Donna Harris-Ifarate sister, Vena Ritchson-
  • Mclean-James, Dorothy Ritchson-Torres sister-in-law, and numerous nephews and
  • nieces. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family
  • and friends.

  • Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Ann Fatula-Harold Harris, first wife -Ikuyo
  • Harris, brothers-Peter, Robert (Bob) James (Jim) Harris, and sisters: Joan Harris-Mest-
  • Bob Mest, Arlene Harris, Barbara Harris-Meyers, Patsy Harris and sister-in-law Georgia
  • Faye Ritchson.

  • A viewing will be held for Jerry September 15, 2025, at Sierra View Funeral Chapel,
  • located at 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael, CA 95608 from 5-7 P.M. funeral service to
  • honor Jerry Harris’ life and service will be held at 11:00 am on September 16, 2025, at
  • Sacramento National Valley Cemetery, located at 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon, CA 95620.
  • Military honors will be rendered at the graveside at Sacramento National Valley
  • Cemetery.
