Jean Arline Young

In loving memory of Jean Arline Young (Lenzi) - August 19, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Jean. Born on November 1, 1942, in Sacramento California, mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Donald Young.

Mom is survived by her five children: Tracey Fitzgerald, Travis Semerdjian, Melissa Hughes, Kimberly Young, and Corey Young and 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jean also leaves behind her beloved sister Jeanice Cook.

Throughout her life mom enjoyed various hobbies including cooking, decorating, trying her luck at the casino, planting beautiful flowers, shopping, and savoring strawberry milkshakes from Baskin Robbins. She was a unique and strong-willed individual who played a pivotal role in shaping the people we are today. Throughout her life, mom was known for her strong opinions and unwavering determination. She instilled a sense of resilience that will resonate with us always.

Honoring mom’s request, there will be no memorial service.
