Ida Walter, 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Sacramento. Ida was born in Fort Smith, Ark. to Aril and Claudia Carpenter. The family moved to Salinas, Ca. where Ida raised her family and resided for over 60 years. Ida worked as a waitress for many years and was beloved by her customers.
In 2011, Ida relocated to the Sacramento area. She enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with family and friends and caring for her dog Charlie.
Ida is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Walter of Salinas and daughters Gail Harper of Sacramento and Sandra Gonzales of San Francisco. She is survived by sons Anthony Fuller of Salinas, Steven Fuller of Murfreesboro, TN., David (Stacey) Blankenship of Sacramento, Jeﬀ Blankenship of Clearlake and Michael Walter of Sacramento along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A private burial will be held at The Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas.
