• Celebrating Gary Robert Williams beloved son of Robert E Williams and Carol J Donaldson, born in Sacramento California on October 25,1953. Loving spouse of Vicky L Larsen, father of Sara and Cameron Williams and Step father to Spencer jr. , Brita , Eric and Liana. Gary passed on February 7, 2026 in Sacramento California surrounded by his family. Gary is survived by sister, Lisa Brightwell, and brother, Greg Williams and mother, Carol J Williams.

• Our hearts are filled with memories and the quiet moments we shared as a family in our time of loss. We loved Gary very much and are comforted with the knowledge he is with his father and is experiencing joy with that reunion.

Gary did not complain about his condition nor did he feel anger at his situation. I admire his courage and his quiet dignity along the way. Rest in peace Gary. We will all miss you greatly.

Cameron says “Gary was a devoted father who did everything for his kids. He always made sure to attend school and sports events. He always had stories to share, and he often had a humorous one-liner to add. He always had wisdom to offer and advice to give. He wanted to have a good time and have fun.”

Brita shares “My Step Father, Gary Williams, and I got closer in the last 10 years. We have spent a lot of time together, I have known him since I was a young child. I want to thank him for becoming noticeably accepting of me in his later years. I appreciated when he would come and check the work I had done in the yard or around the house, and he would tell me, that I did a good job. He would say, that he liked how I was so determined and that I worked hard. I remember when I brought him a Chocolate Silk Pie, on his birthday- and he really enjoyed that. I want to thank him for my siblings: Sara & Cameron- I love them VERY much.

Sara shares, “Gary always made sure his family was taken care of. He was present, attentive and never missed out on any milestone or important family events. Though, he may have slyly asked for an update on the score of a game he was following.

He was fond of animals as well. Sometimes, he would grumble about a surprise cat we brought home, but Gary and the new family addition would always be best pals after a while.

Dad and I would bond over classic TV and music. Our favorite show to watch together was Columbo. I would also give him a hard time, joking about being a fan of his rival sports teams. Sarcasm and witty comebacks was our thing.

"Just one more thing!"

It's not goodbye, it's we'll see you later. You are well loved, Dad. We miss you."
