Gene was born to Eugene and Frances Espey. He leaves behind son, Scott, daughter Nanci Rose (Scott), four grandchildren, his sister, Barbara Wells (Bill) and his precious dog, Maggie.
Gene worked for Pacific Telephone (later AT&T) when he was drafted. He entered the Air Force in 1967 and got out in 1971. Pacific Telephone held his job for him so he returned to work there until he retired.
Gene had many hobbies including riding motorcycles with his kids in their younger days, enjoying watching his grandchildren in their sports, golfing, making golf clubs etc., and his favorite the last few years was his Car Club family. Some of these friends go back 50 years. The last 4 months have been very tough. Gene had many health problems but we fought the good fight. In the end, the body just gave out.
I can’t thank the several golf and Car Club buddies enough that were there and so supportive of Gene and of my husband, Bill & I.
RIP Brother,
Love you
