Esther Arce Tapia

Esther Arce Tapia was born on October 11, 1937, in Mecca, California, to Frank Franco Arce and Isabel Canela. Her family moved to San Bernardino, California, in 1939, where she met and married Emilio Sanchez Tapia in 1953. In 1972, the family settled in Carmichael, California, where Esther went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree from American River College, and retired from AT&T after 30 years as an Engineer’s Assistant.

Esther was the devoted mother of three daughters, Margo Louise Tapia (1954, deceased), Laura Marie Tapia Gary (1957), and Rachel Diane Tapia Gupta (1960) (m. Vinnie). She is survived by six grandchildren, Adrian Gary, Victoria Wilson, Brianna Rosalind, Rani Laczko, Theresa Gupta, and Priya Gupta, as well as four great grandchildren, Valentino, Katerina, Meredith, and Rohan. She is also survived by her half-sister, Darlene Warnock.

Services will be held at Sierra View Funeral Home on December 22 at 10:00 a.m.
