Eileen Kay
Moffatt
Dec 16, 1959 — Aug 27, 2026
Lincoln, Ca
Eileen transitioned to her eternal God on August 27, 2026, after a loving relationship with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, 'bonus' children, brother, and sister-in-law. Eileen passed with the peace and grace that defined Eileen's life.
Eileen was a creator. She thrived on being a lifelong learner and diving into new artistic endeavors and excelling at them, including ceramics, jewelry, welding, crocheting, glass fusion, sculpture, photography, cheese making, cooking, and baking. Eileen was indeed a creator. But not just a creator of physical objects. Eileen was a creator of love. Of hope. Of laughter, Of friends. Of family. Of kindness. Of grace. Of prayer. Of spirit.
Eileen was born December 16, 1959, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, to Glen and Barbara Norton. After graduating from the University of Colorado (B.S. Journalism), Eileen built a career as a highly respected ad agency copywriter in Los Angeles and also became a marathon race walker. She married David Missey, who sadly passed away soon thereafter. Eileen then went back to school to get her PsyD in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She married Al Moffatt in 2006 and established a thriving private practice in Northern California for over 20 years. Eileen and her 'bonus' children, John, Aly, and Sarah Moffatt grew to love each other deeply and formed an incredibly tight knit, loving, supportive family. Together, Eileen and Al traveled to over 25 countries in just 10 years, as international travel sparked Eileen's never-ending quest for culture, knowledge, and adventure.
A mere accounting of accomplishments, achievements, and facts are not sufficient to capture the true essence of Eileen. There was just something about Eileen. Her magical way of being, grace, listening, understanding, and connecting with people instantly touched everyone. Her friends and family miss her dearly.
Eileen is survived by her husband Al Moffatt, 'bonus' children John, Aly and Sarah Moffatt, brother Kurt Norton, sister-in-law Nancy Norton, three nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephews. Eileen's spiritual life was every bit as important as her physical life. One of Eileen's favorite Rumi quotes was, "Live life as if everything is rigged in your favor."
