Edward James McBride

February 3, 1964 — June 1, 2025

Edward James McBride, age 61, passed suddenly on June 1, 2025. Beloved husband of Lorrie. Loving father of Bryana, Bridie and Eddy. Grandfather of Alyson and Abygail McBride-Low. Father-in-law to Edmund Low-Caro. Brother of Michael and Eileen. Brother-in-law of Patti, Kevin, Dave, Joelle, Tom, Leo and Karen. Cherished son of Ann. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. A pillar of the community, Eddy will be remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. As a skilled tradesman, he not only taught all who wanted to learn, but he would often work free of charge for anyone in need of his help. As an avid sports lover, he never missed a chance to support his favorite teams. In addition to being a fan and player, Eddy’s passion for sports also allowed him to serve as Coach to countless children. From family and friends of St. Jarlath, Bishop O'Dowd and St. Lawrence O'Toole, there is no shortage of pain in his loss. Eddy will be remembered by family for his love, support, strong will and determination. No length of time apart could come between Eddy and his family or friends. Whether sharing a joke, a story, or song, there will never be a substitute for Eddy or his memory.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00am in St.Jarlath's Church, Fruitvale and Pleasant St. Oakland. Recitation of the Rosary will precede Mass at 10:30am in St.Jarlath Church. A private Interment will be held at St.Mary’s Cemetery, Oakland at a later date, where we will lay him to rest with his Father.
