Dennis E. Yeast

Dennis E. Yeast, (79), of Sacramento, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 15, 2023.  Dennis was born and raised in Sacramento to Denver and Bette Yeast on October 23, 1944.  Dennis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandi; two daughters, Erin and her husband Chuck, Kelli and her husband Robert; two grandsons, Dylan and Cameron; and his brother Winston and wife Karen.  Dennis was predeceased by his twin sister Donna.

Dennis graduated from Encina Highschool in 1962, where he and Sandi met.  He studied Environmental Studies at Sacramento State where he started as a student intern with Sacramento County Department of Environmental Review and Assessment where he spent the next 30+ years and eventually retired as Director.

Dennis held different titles in his life, but his favorite was as grandfather "Papa" to his two grandsons, from attending scouting events to baseball games. Dennis loved various sports of his own throughout his years, but especially Golf, Fishing, and Sailing.  He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by many from all walks of his life.

Dennis' family will host a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 19, 2023 at 1:00pm.  The service will be at Sierra View Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608.   Reception, immediately following, and information to be provided at service.
