Delmar Richard Lunde

Delmar Richard Lunde beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully in his home on October 11, 2024, at the age of 94. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on January 16, 1930, and spent most of his childhood in Evansville, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Business. After graduating, Del moved to California to follow his family, and start his own. He spent many years working as a manager for Vanier Graphics and later, as a real estate agent. 

In 1984, Del met Karen in Fremont, California. They bonded over their mutual appreciation for traveling that they continued to share throughout their marriage of 40 years. Del took up painting in the early 2000's and became quite an accomplished plein-air painter. Watercolor was his favorite medium, and his paintings, sketches and bookmarks are enjoyed by many.

He leaves behind his children Annette McTighe, Connie Lunde, and Nancy Christeson; and his grandchildren: Kyle McTighe, Patrick McTighe, Makela Sparrow, Rose Keul, and Anna Burns. He has six great-grandchildren: Nova McTighe, Kya McTighe, Briggs Sparrow, Rooney Sparrow, Caspar Keul and his namesake, Delmar Keul. He is survived by his sister Shirley O'Connell and brothers, Ken and Loren Lunde.
