It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Cesar Singson Baterina, known affectionately to all as CESAR. Born on August 17, 1954, in Sison, Pangasinan, Cesar lived a life enriched by love, family, and countless cherished memories. His journey transitioned on July 8, 2025, in Sacramento, California, leaving behind a legacy that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew him.
Cesar was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Delia. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and understanding, a sanctuary for their children. Ria Dee and her partner Jasen, John Cesar and his wife Rachelle, and Sheryl and her husband Jon Jon were not just his children; they were his pride and joy. Every milestone they achieved was a testament to his unwavering support and guidance.
As a grandfather, Cesar's heart expanded even further with the arrival of his dear grandchildren: Jeanne Patrick, Ryan Dane, Josiah Jhunar, Yvone Zyrel, and Jonas Jaden. The sparkle in his eyes when he spoke of them illustrated the joy they brought into his life. Each story shared during family gatherings reveals how deeply he cherished their moments together, from playful outings to heartfelt conversations about dreams and aspirations.
Cesar’s early life was rooted in his role as a son to Constantino and Melchora Baterina, whose nurturing shaped the man he became. He was also a brother, bonded to his siblings Teodora (+), Fanny(+), Oscar (+), Zita ,Nicanor ,Ofelia and Flora sharing both laughter and love throughout their days together.
Throughout his life, Cesar was known for his calm, loving ,sweet , warmth and welcoming spirit. His kindness left an indelible mark on many. As we prepare to honor his life, we invite friends and family to join us in celebrating the remarkable journey his story represents. There will be a viewing service, followed by mass and a funeral service at Sierra View Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc, located at 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael CA, 95608. The service will take place on Wednesday, August 6th, from 12 PM to 4 PM, with mass and cremation to follow.
