Cathy Anne Cecil

It is with a mix of grief and gratitude for her peace that we announce the passing of Cathy Anne Cecil (née Vas Dias), age 79 on April 9, 2025 in Roseville, CA. A wife, mother, noni, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and soul of rare kindness, Cathy brought light and warmth to every life she touched. Born on November 1, 1945 in Fresno, CA, Cathy lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered always by her husband Chuck, children Jennifer LeBoeuf, Stefani Vader, and Christopher, grandsons Rhys and Zachary Vader, great grandson Elijah Vader, siblings Susan Sommer, Thomas Vas Dias, Mary Hoska, and Timothy Vas Dias, and numerous family and friends.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a Mass celebrating Cathy’s life on Saturday, May 10th at the Jesuit High School chapel in Carmichael, CA at 2:00 PM with a fiesta to follow at 648 Voyager Court in Roseville, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to www.alz.org
