Carlene Michelle Wayman

As a life-long resident of the Sacramento area, Cari often said she was "lucky enough to be born here and smart enough to stay."  She graduated from Cordova High in 1966 and went on to earn a BS and a BA at CSUS.

For most of her working years she worked as a computer programmer at Cal-West Life Insurance, Sutter Health, and VSP.  After an early retirement she and her husband, Robert Wayman, started ballroom dancing and she was hooked!  In 2006, she established Dancing with Cari and taught in her home until 2020.  Teaching dance was her joy and she just wanted to share that joy with others.  Her other interests included interpreting for the deaf, designing and knitting sweaters, reading mysteries, jigsaw puzzles and puttering in her garden.  She loved animals and always provided a home for at least one dog or cat.  

Cari is predeceased by her husband, Bob, and her parents Myra Consilio and Richard Olsen.  No services will be held, but she hopes you go out dancing!
