We are devastated to announce the unexpected passing of our son, Anthony David Hayton. Tony passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the age of 33. Anthony was born December 19, 1987 in Sacramento, CA and was a lifelong resident of Carmichael. He graduated from Del Campo High School and attended American River Junior College seeking a degree in athletic training. Tony was a kind and compassionate young man, with a great sense of humor. He loved animals and hot sauce, the hotter the better! Sadly, Tony’s life was cut short by mental illness from which he suffered for over the last ten years. Our entire family suffered along as we watched Tony’s promising future cut short by bi-polar, schizophrenia, and drug addiction. Tony was predeceased by his mother, Cindy Bryant and grandmothers Hilda Bryant and Sylvia Hayton. Tony leaves behind his parents Randy and Cheryl Hayton, and sisters Tiffany (Richard) Scheffer, Jaycie (Daniel) Miller, and Emily Fopiano. He was the uncle of Lyra and Miles Miller. Also mourning his loss is his grandfather, Kenneth Hayton, uncles and aunts, Darren and Michelle Hayton and Rhonda and Steve Monahan, and cousins, Justin, Joshua, Rachelle, Bristina and Tori, and a large extended family who remembers Tony with love. If you have a favorite memory of Tony feel free to leave it on the tribute wall. Please consider looking into NAMI Sacramento or Stop The Stigma Sacramento and donate in Anthony’s name if possible.
